Kangu - Greater Tshela region (DRC)

What ?

A cooperation of deprived widows, doing good for future generations by:

1. Maintaining the forest and land in good shape

2. Revalorising tradition by organic handcraft, as a barrier to imported mass crap

3. Transmitting their expertise to 100 student girls they foster

4. Making an additional living for themselves and the widow community

Our role?

1. Revalorisation of circular economy : natural materials from the forest are upcycled

2. Support local social/ecological awareness in the village and surroundings : maintaining the forest and land in good shape, by cutting and evacuating dead leaves and branches.

3. Set up pilot phase with these 12 participants to a structural members cooperation : a training hub and extra income generator:
