😍 💚 Happy with the launch of our Coopérative sociale de hashtag charbon vert (DRC, Kinshasa): a social valuechain for the circular production of ecofriendly energy. An initiative of Social Ecology Education Fund and its local MFI-partner Paderu ONGD.
Rather than cutting and burning wood for household use, vulnerable young people are trained and involved in :
🍀 the collection of organic waste;
🌴 its transformation into green charcoal and
🌵 sale and distribution to households.
By contributing 2 USD💰💰, these households subscribe to a service of collection of their organic waste in exchange for greenenergy bricks and a discount.
Social Ecology Education Fund identified and supported the scale-up from pilotphase to semi-automated processed phase.
